A social enterprise where women make up 90% of our staff. We focus on empowerment, ethical practices and eco-friendly production — tackling poverty through fair wages and skills transfer for women from all walks of life.
Why It Matters
The fashion industry is rife with exploitation — unbearable conditions, poverty wages, and harassment. Miakay & Co was born to change that narrative through sustainable fashion that puts people first.

Did You Know
“In some African countries, girls in rural areas are reportedly using old blankets, old rags and even cow dung during their menstrual cycles because they have no access or have to pay exorbitant amounts for sanitary pads.”
Girls are missing out on school, sports and their livelihood due to lack of sanitary wear.
The Initiative
The Dignity Project aims to partner with other women-led NPOs to bring dignity to more than 10,000 women in rural parts of sub-Saharan Africa.
Dignity kits include disposable and reusable sanitary wear and toiletry essentials — everything a woman needs to maintain her health and dignity with confidence.
